Using electricity in the most productive way possible, the 72040 has a direct contact heating system that heats water to precise temperatures. The two wells, in which this heating element lies, are coated with aluminum, and because the element itself is made from cast-in non-stick aluminum, it won't promote scale build-up. These design decisions ensure that this appliance will be effortless to clean and durable enough to provide years of consistent service. There are two sets of the easy-to-access thermostatic controls so that each well has its own individual means to set temperatures.
