Tortilla presses are cooking tools that flatten and shape tortillas. They are cast iron or aluminum and have a patterned surface to prevent the tortillas from sticking to the press. Most tortilla presses and grills are non-stick for easy cleaning. Some have a raised surface, so you can use them to make stuffed flatbreads, like Indian naan and Mexican tacos. Others have a built-in warmer to keep freshly pressed or grilled tortillas warm and fresh.

Most also have adjustable temperature controls so that you can choose between a light or dark crust. Some also have an adjustable steam function to make everything from tamales to dumplings.
