The scoop comes equipped with two Germ Guards, designed to protect your thumb and knuckles from coming in contact with the ice. This both protects you from sharp, jagged ice, as well as your customers from ingesting germs. The Guardian holder is intended to be mounted either inside or outside the ice bin, thus saving plenty of space. It also has a removable bottom, which allows water to drain. This keeps your scoop from ever remaining in standing water. Constructed from durable polycarbonate, these products can be safely run through the dishwasher. Mounting hardware is included.
