Domino's Goes Italian. No, really!

Domino's Goes Italian. No, really!

When we were in college, the best thing to order on a Friday night was pizza from the local Domino’s. It was hot and fresh, (and although they have several pizzas now which are really pretty tasty) but it wasn’t something that you would scream in delight about. But Domino’s is now entering a new market: Italy.

Yes, you got it. After over 50(!) years of being in business, Domino’s is now putting their pizza supplies into the Italian market. Seems strange, as they would be going to the birthplace of pizza to put their American pizza, but this promises to be something upscale and extremely authentic.

For instance, the average Italian eats pizza 7 times a month. The traditional Margherita pizza is loved by 70% of its people. This new franchise offers an opportunity to bring pizza delivery to Italians everywhere.

“Italy can be a major milestone for the recognized world leader in pizza delivery, as no major American pizza brand has successfully entered the market. We’re going where no major pizza brand has gone before,” says the president of Domino’s International.

We hope that everyone in Italy loves Domino’s and that they fare well in this awesome endeavor.
