Andrew Zimmern is a Michelin-starred, James Beard Award-winning chef, TV personality, and author of several acclaimed cookbooks. He currently serves as host and executive producer of several series on The Cooking Channel, including Unexpected Guests, Cooks vs. Cons, and Eat What You Want. He was named "Best Celebrity Chef" by Food & Wine Magazine readers in 2016 and was inducted into the James Beard Hall of Fame in 2018.

Andrew began formal culinary training at 14, attending the Dalton School and graduating from The Vassar College. After college, he worked as an executive chef or general manager at several fine dining restaurants in New York, lecturing on restaurant management and design at The New School for Social Research and gaining most of his notoriety during a four-and-a-half-year tenure as executive chef of Café Un Deux Trois in Minneapolis's Foshay Tower. Andrews menus received the highest ratings from the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Minneapolis Star Tribune, Minnesota Monthly, and Mpls. St. Paul Magazine, as well as national publications around this same time.

In 2020, Andrew returned to television with MSNBC's What's Eating America, and in 2021, he premiered Family Dinner on Magnolia Network. This year, you can find him judging the epic culinary battle Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend on Netflix and Outdoor Channel's Andrew Zimmern's Wild Game Kitchen. Andrew is the founder and CEO of Intuitive Content, which was named one of the top 100 production companies in the world by Realscreen, where he oversees productions on various tv shows and documentaries. He is also the founder of Passport Hospitality, a restaurant and food service development company. Andrew Zimmern has written multiple books since 2009 detailing travel and experiences with different cuisines worldwide. The most recent was a children's book titled Alliance of World Explorers, Volume 1: AZ and the Lost City of Ophir, which was released in 2019 and earned the 2019 Gold Ippy for Juvenile Fiction.
