The Star Countertop Griddle boasts a stainless steel front and cool-to-the-touch bull nose. Throttling thermostatic controls can get the griddle to reach temperatures ranging from 150F to 450F to meet your cooking needs. The safety pilot cuts off the flow of gas in case the pilot goes out. Heavy duty metal knobs let you set the amount of heat used for various portions of the grills cooking top. The one-inch thick steel used for the griddles plate in combination with a U shaped burner every 12 inches provides even heat distribution so all food cooking thoroughly without burning on one side of the plate versus the other. In terms of the bottom of the appliance, double-walled construction prevents heat from escaping and warming items around the griddle. A splashguard, front trough, chute, and drawer protect surrounding areas from getting covered in grease, making cleaning the griddle quicker and easier.
