Important Information about your Delivery!

Your order* will be delivered curbside on a full-sized 18-wheeler tractor trailer truck.

*Standard Order Delivery of Equipment and Large Heavy Items

You are responsible for:

  • Removing the shipment from the truck
  • Bringing the shipment into your location
  • Inspecting shipment for damage or missing items BEFORE signing carrier’s delivery receipt
  • Noting damaged or missing items on the carrier's delivery receipt

  • If you do not make note of these issues in any way on the delivery receipt, RestaurantSupply.com CANNOT guarantee any compensation for damaged or missing items.    By signing the delivery receipt without declaring these exception, you are stating that YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR SHIPMENT IN ACCEPTABLE CONDITION.

Upon inspection, if any piece of the shipment is damaged or missing:
  • Note damage or missing items clearly on the delivery receipt BEFORE signing (such as "missing item", "puncture holes in packaging", "multiple dents on side of unit")
  • Keep your copy of the delivery receipt
  • Contact RestaurantSupply.com Immediately (within 1 business day)
  • Keep ALL Damaged packing materials for inspection (if possible, leave items in packaging)
  • Take pictures of the damaged items and packaging Immediately

If any piece of the shipment is damaged, you have the right to refuse delivery of the damaged item(s). If you refuse delivery of the damaged item(s), you may still accept delivery of the undamaged item(s).



What is liftgate service?

A liftgate is a motorized platform attached to the back of a truck that will physically lower your shipment to the ground so that you can take it inside your business or home. The truck drive will move your shipment onto the liftgate and lower it to the ground using the liftgate. You are responsible for bringing the shipment inside your location.

If you do not have an elevated, truck height loading dock or a forklift to unload your items from the truck, you will require liftgate service and must select this option when you purchase your items. The "Free Shipping / Liftgate" and the "UPS Ground / Liftgate" options include and add the fee for the liftgate to your order total.

Some items are too large or heavy for a liftgate such as a very wide sandwich prep table. These items will require a truck-level loading dock. If you do not have a loading dock, contact our Customer Service Team.

What is Call Before Delivery?

All Common Carrier Freight Shipments will include the free service. The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment. Common Carrier Freight companies will not delivery your shipment without scheduling the delivery with you so that someone will be present to receive the delivery at your location. If you schedule a delivery and are not present for the appointment, this will require the freight company to reschedule the delivery. You will be subject to a standard redelivery fee of $125.00 to be paid in advance of redelivery.
