What is liftgate service?

A liftgate is a motorized platform attached to the back of a truck that will physically lower your shipment to the ground so that you can take it inside your business or home. The truck driver will move your shipment onto the liftgate and lower it to the ground using the liftgate. You are responsible for bringing the shipment inside your location.

If you do not have an elevated, truck height loading dock or a forklift to unload your items from the truck, you will require liftgate service and must select this option when you purchase your items. The "Free Shipping / Liftgate" and the "UPS Ground / Liftgate" options include and add the fee for the liftgate to your order total.

Some items are too large or heavy for a liftgate such as a very wide sandwich prep table. These items will require a truck-level loading dock. If you do not have a loading dock, contact our Customer Service Team prior to ordering.

What is Call Before Delivery?

All Common Carrier Freight Shipments with the LIFTGATE SERVICE paid for in advance will include a Call Before Delivery. The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment (NOTE: This is ONLY applicable to orders where the Liftgate Service has been selected). Common Carrier Freight companies will not deliver your shipment without scheduling the liftgate delivery with you so that someone will be present to receive the delivery at your location. If you schedule a delivery and are not present for the appointment, this will require the freight company to reschedule the delivery. You will be subject to a standard redelivery fee of $125.00 to be paid in advance of redelivery.

Call Before Delivery to schedule a delivery date and time is ONLY INCLUDED WITH LIFTGATE SERVICE paid for in advance.
