There are 4 snap action thermostatic controls with on-off valves (one set of controls for every 12" width of griddle surface) that can be set for precise temperatures between 200 to 550 degrees F and this unit features Piezo spark ignitions which require no external electric connection.
The UTGG48-GT48M Heavy-Duty Countertop series gas-powered griddle uses Liquid Propane and operates at 28,000 BTU burner per 12" of width for a total 112,000 BTU/hr with a 3/4" NPT gas connection.
There is a 4" deep front grease trough on this griddle. This freestanding countertop unit has stainless steel front, sides and back. This griddle is designed as a freestanding unit with a set of 4" stainless steel adjustable legs and it can be used on a countertop and can be banked with other Heavy-Duty Countertop series equipment.
This griddle is NSF listed for safety, and it is CSA Blue Flame and CSA Design certified for gas-fired products.
